Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. She spent the majority of her early years listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs, as well older classical songs. Ana loves opera and tangos, along with any dramatic performance. At the age 16, she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to give her more intense singing instruction. In Guadalajara, she attended the School of Music of University of Guadalajara and then in Toluca in the School of Sacred Music. The singer performed throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and various cities while a student and professional. After 2000, she emigrated to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then, in 2007, she settled in her new home in Southern California. She is currently performing traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. As a musician and teacher Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her love and passion for music. Ana has also been a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana finds it a privilege to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
